If you are looking for a deeply romantic relationship, you would be well advised not to fall in love with a Virgo. Virgo lovers are practical rather than passionate. When you dine out you can forget about the soft lights and violins. The typical Virgo will pick a restaurant because it is clean, comfortable and serves good food.
Virgo man looks for class in a woman – very much a case of quality rather than quantity. He expects her to be intelligent, well-groomed, punctual and very definitely not one of the boys. He hates sloppy thinking, exaggeration and sexual ploys or ruses.
Virgo woman does not like to be rushed or bulldozed into a relationship. She is not impressed by risqué remarks or off-colour jokes. She may nit-pick about minor matters but when it comes to her loved ones, nothing is too much trouble. She is modest, faithful, straightforward and, once committed, will love her man for life.
Virgos do not play games with their partners. They are honest and expect honesty in return. However, despite being highly critical of others, they are not very good at accepting criticism themselves. It is, indeed, possible to wound a Virgo deeply by analysing their appearance, attitudes or behaviour.

VIRGO PARENTVirgo parents are kind, conscientious, capable and caring. They tend to have small families and to worry about their children – but then they worry about everything. They expect their youngsters to share their own high standards of order, honesty and integrity. They are unlikely to spoil their offspring and they keep their own emotions well-hidden.
Virgo father takes his parental responsibilities seriously. He enjoys passing on his knowledge, skills and experience to his children and will happily spend hours patiently helping them with their homework. He is willing to make whatever sacrifices are necessary to give them a good education, with all the optional extras. He is unlikely to indulge in physical displays of affection and has a tendency to be overstrict, overcritical and to have high – sometimes a bit too high – expectations of his offspring. He certainly expects them to be punctual and to honour deadlines and curfews.
Virgo mother teaches her children to be clean, tidy, well-dressed and well-mannered. She loves them deeply, but undemonstratively. She works hard to provide them with a secure, happy and comfortable home life and there is almost nothing she will not do for them. She nurses them skilfully when they are ill and cares for them efficiently when they are well.
Virgo parents discourage their children from eating sweets and junk food and anything in between meals. They believe that healthy diets produce healthy bodies and healthy teeth. They prepare freshly cooked meals for their families, homemade bread and frequently grow their own organic vegetables.
VIRGO CHILDVirgo children are seldom any trouble to their parents. They are unlikely to spill their food, tear their clothes or leave their bedrooms in a mess. They are thoughtful, gentle and shy with strangers. They are more likely to be found with their noses in a book than playing out of doors.
At school, they are keen to do well. They need teachers who will encourage rather than criticise them, since their fragile egos are easily damaged and they can make themselves physically ill with worry. They are dependable, efficient and will frequently take on tasks which the other pupils refuse to do. Even when they are small children, Virgos’ sense of duty is firmly ingrained.
Virgo youngsters need a peaceful and stable home life. It is important to them that their parents consider their feelings and respect their privacy. They are hard to reach on an emotional level, since their reasoning is based on hard facts. They need positive parents who will nurture their sense of identity and boost their confidence. Only by being given plenty of physical affection as children will they be able to express it themselves when they grow up. It is all too easy for their self-critical natures to result in lifelong inferiority complexes.
On no account should Virgo children ever be bullied or browbeaten. They will simply clam up and retreat into their own private worlds. Even teasing should be gentle and affectionate and should never involve their teenage loves. Many adult Virgos still carry the emotional scars inflicted in childhood by well-meaning but clumsy adults.
