CANCER PARTNER
Fall in love with a Cancer man or woman and you would do well to fall in love with their mothers, too. She will, certainly, be a major force in their lives. In the case of Cancer man, whether he loves her or hates her, he invariably judges his girlfriend against her. In the case of Cancer woman, she expects her beau to appreciate and respect those maternal qualities which may be invisible to anyone else but her.

Cancer people tend to be something of an enigma. Because this sign is ruled by the Moon, Cancer individuals – particularly women – change their moods, minds and personalities with the ease and speed with which the Moon moves from one phase to the next. Cancer women tend to be demonstrative – even if their affection is not reciprocated.

Given the right partner, Cancer men and women make wonderful lovers and lively companions. They are kind, caring, compassionate and defensive of their loved ones. However, treat a Cancer badly and he or she will react like the Crab which symbolises the sign. Their soft and emotional centre is protected by an impenetrable shell. However, when in love, Cancer individuals are great sentimentalists and go to enormous lengths to find the perfect Valentine’s Day card or gift. They are wonderful homemakers, imaginative cooks and quite prepared to sacrifice their own needs for those of their loved ones.

CANCER PARENT
Cancer woman is the most natural mother of the Zodiac. She loves her children to distraction, worries about them constantly, and runs the risk of stifling their independence by being overprotective.

Cancer man is the original doting dad, intensely proud of his offspring and just as protective of them as Cancer woman. Unlike her, however, he attempts to hide his emotions behind a tough, gruff exterior. It is not, therefore, surprising, that his bark tends to be considerably worse than his bite.

From the moment she has children, Cancer woman condemns herself to a lifetime of worry and emotional ups and downs. However, since that is her nature, she is probably well used to it. Her vivid imagination means that she is on tenterhooks for every second her children are out of her sight. The serious problems begin when Cancer parent’s children get to the age when they demand their freedom. Oh, the tears and traumas, the hand-wringing and carpet-pacing that occurs, day after day and night after night.

That apart, Cancer parents really are good at their job. They are sympathetic, understanding and deeply loving. They care for their children emotionally and materially. They genuinely want the best for them and will make whatever sacrifices are necessary to give it to them. In their eyes, the youngsters can do no wrong.

Cancer parent needs only to learn to take a few steps backwards and stop making mountains out of molehills and there you have it: perfect parenthood.

CANCER CHILD
Cancer children are the most sensitive in the Zodiac. They need to be tended like delicate flowers, handled gently and never, ever bullied or browbeaten. More than anything, Cancer children need emotional security. Bringing up a Cancer child should be one long exercise in confidence building. They should be encouraged to share thoughts and feelings. It is all too easy for Cancer youngsters to keep their own counsel, then be disappointed when no one understands them.

The moods of these Moon children reflect the atmosphere around them. They can swing from smiles to tears in an instant. Their colourful imaginations encourage them to embroider true stories to make them more interesting or exciting. They tend to have wonderful memories and to excel at history. They are notoriously untidy and treasure their old toys and clothes. They refuse to part with anything which has any kind of sentimental value.

Cancer youngsters frequently suffer from shyness and may start developing a protective shell at an early age. School can be an ordeal, and reticent and reserved Cancer children may quickly become the class jokers in order to hide their true feelings.


From quite young ages, Moon children frequently start earning money by doing odd or part-time jobs. To them, money equals security. And for little Cancers, security is the most important factor in their lives.
